Population Education Club is an organization of the University of Kerala.The PEC unit was formed in St.Gregorios College,Kottarakara in the year 1980. John Kurakar was the co-coordinator of the club and advisory member of the University level Programmes. Dr K Sivandasan Pillai was the Director of the Programme.Mr Kurakar conducted More than hundred camps and study programmes in the college and university level. Rev.Fr V.Varghese was the Principal of the college. Sri Ramakrishan Attuvassari was the advisory member of the college level programmes. John Kurakar received awards from Kerala University for his best performance and dedicated work
